Business segments

Structurally three business segments are defined: Raw materials, semi-finished products and production.
Raw materials comprise trading and distribution of metals, alloys and pig-iron in central Europe with a turnover of about EUR 395 Mio. It is managed by Mr. Christian Hempel.
Semi-finished products comprise stock holding and service-centres for nickel alloys, titanium and stainless steel, as well as stainless wire drawing. It is managed by Mr. André Hempel. Turnover of this integrated group, whose companies act in the markets of central Europe under their own names is EUR 60 Mio.
Production and processing is centred in the Campine-group, Belgium.

Initially Campine produced antimony-metal and lead-oxide. Today it is the market leader in antimony-oxide and master-batches. As a second branch battery recycling has been strongly extended. Today Campine is the market leader in recycling of lead in Belgium. Campine has a turnover of 74 Mio. EUR.

The Hempel Group today has a total turnover of almost 530 Mio. EUR with more than 350 employees in 5 European countries.
